“America’s Most Beautiful
Main Street”
When Eleanor Roosevelt visited Hingham, Massachusetts during her time as First Lady, she was so taken by its quintessential New England charm, she referred to it as “the most beautiful main street in America.”
Hingham and Hingham Square have lost none of their charm over the years, and the town of Hingham goes to great lengths to ensure it never will. There’s an Old World feeling to its streets, shops and eateries. Even though the names and brands represented are current and trendsetting, the storefronts hearken back to a simpler, less hectic time.
